Minnewaska Junior High Baseball Team

This team is run through the Minnewaska Area Schools and runs from mid-March through May/June.
​Registration is done through the school. 

Summer Opportunities

Lakes Area League

Held Tuesdays OR Thursdays during June and July. Teams are divided into even teams and will play against teams from other towns in the area. This league is treated as developmental; teams and players will be coached with development in mind. Parent volunteer coaches will make ANY and ALL offensive and defensive decisions with ABSOLUTELY no outside influence

• The season runs from June through August.
• Travel is limited and all boys that want to play will be put on a team.
• Scheduled league games are played on Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30pm.
• $60 fee includes the t-shirt for uniform
• Online Registration and payment due later this spring
• Teams are comprised of 7th/8th graders
• Player/Guardian Code of Conduct to be signed before participation

Equipment needed:

• Fielding glove
• Bat if you have one
• Gray with blue piping, blue belt, blue baseball socks, and gray hat with blue bill and blue "M"(can be purchased at Screen Prints in Glenwood)
• Rubber cleats
• Protective cup

• Varsity: Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30 for current  7th/8th grade on JV Field at MAHS or opposing town.

Minnewaska Tournament Travel Teams

Held various nights during the week and 5-6 weekends during May, June, and July. Teams are coached to compete in a very competitive manner vs other competitive traveling teams throughout the region. Teams will compete with a maximum roster of 12 players. Practice and Scrimmage rosters will have no limit, however competitive game/tournament rosters of 12 will be left to the sole discretion of the parent volunteer coaches, with ABSOLUTELY no outside influence. All offensive and defensive positioning will follow the same guidelines. In other words, players who do not make the 12 player competitive roster may practice and compete in any scrimmage during the summer but must understand they may not travel to any or all of the competitive games. Players in their respective age group must not reach the next age before May 1st, 2022.
​​**Players are strongly encouraged to participate in the Lakes Area League to play on this team.

• $70 fee includes Team shirt
• Practice begins in June.
• Teams are divided by age level 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U
• Player/Guardian Code of Conduct to be signed before participation
